Union Human Resource Development Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’ has confirmed that as of now there is no change in the dates of JEE Main and NEET 2020. In an interview with Zee News, Pokhriyal has explained that the authorities will “try to conduct” both the entrance examinations on the pre-decided dates. However, depending on the COVID-19 situation in the country, the authorities may take a second review in the first week of July 2020 on whether to conduct or postpone the entrance examinations .
JEE Main is scheduled to be held from July 18 to 23 and NEET UG will be held on July 26, 2020.
Will CBSE cancellation affect JEE Main and NEET?
With the Centre cancelling the remaining CBSE board examinations, students have been left in a fix regarding how they will attempt the entrance examinations of JEE Main and NEET since there is a looming uncertainty of completing their board exams. Reports have suggested that the CBSE cancellation will surely affect the currently decided dates of JEE Main and NEET, however this has not been mentioned or confirmed by the Centre till now.
